Sump Pump Failure

SERVPRO of LaGrange Park/North Riverside was called to this home due to a sump pump failure and over five inches of standing water in the homeowners basement due to a cell of storms that had flooded our area with a great amount of water.  Not only had the sump pump failed, but due to the amount of water in the home, the hot water heater had stopped working due to water flowing into the bottom, causing irreparable damage.  Once the water was all extracted, the hot water heater and sump pump were replaced, we were able to remove all the affected flooring and drywall in the basement to start the drying process.
