Leaking Hot Water Heater

When we arrived onsite and took our water meter readings we realized that there was more damage than first expected.  This leaking hot water heater may look like a little thing, but the water had leaked through the walls and into the family room.  The water had soaked into the carpeting and up the walls.  The homeowner was shocked that even just a little bit of water could travel and make that big of an area needing water mitigation.  

Our SERVPRO team got to work extracting water, and doing flood cuts to the wet drywall.  We also cleaned up the water from the hot water heater once it was replaced.  The homeowners were so grateful that we were quick on the scene and fast to get the water up to prevent further damage.
